COM 384 - A Mini P.R. Campaign

In COM384-Writing for Public Relations, there was a semester-long project where students worked in groups on a mini P.R. campaign. The group I was in worked to create a campaign to promote the 2026 edition of the University of Tampa's yearbook, The Moroccan. The project involved developing a comprehensive promotional strategy to increase awareness of the yearbook, encourage student engagement, and highlight its significance as a Spartan tradition. The campaign included sections on the goals, strategies, and intended outcomes of the campaign. A media kit, feature story, social media calendar and visual promotional items were also included. For this project, I specifically worked on the campaign's intended outcomes, writing the letter to the editor and the feature story, and working on the scripts and production of  the promotional videos. These deliverables combined traditional PR writing with digital storytelling to communicate the yearbook's value to the target audience of current students. Ultimately, the campaign aimed to increase awareness and distribution of the 2026 yearbook, strengthen student engagement, and reinforce The Moroccan as a meaningful physical record of the university experience.
